For Professionals
Adjuntive SE:

I am delighted to offer my services to mental health professionals in New York.  One way I am able to do this, is through adjunctive work.  Through SE, I have noticed that my clients have been able to better recognize patterns of activation and regulation, and increase their capacity to tolerate difficult feelings and memories.  It is also effective for clients who feel "stuck", as they often have material from past and present tangled up, feeling very much present, "right now" in their nervous systems.  Through this model, we are able to untangle this material, and help shift the relationship it has with the client's system.  SE also helps eating disordered clients to become more embodied, and to find aspects of their physiology to truly appreciate.

I have recently begun to offer adjunctive SE work to clients struggling with eating disorders and/or trauma.  The goal of adjunctive SE work is to provide assistance to stabilize very activated clients, to teach them to recognize when they are activated, and how they can return to a more regulated, resourced state.  Through this work, your clients will become more grounded and contained, and will expand their capacity to hold difficult feelings and memories.

If you are working with clients who are very anxious, have trouble settling and relaxing, whose trauma symptoms don't seem to move or resolve, or clients who just feel very "stuck", I would be happy to talk with you about adjunctive work, and how SE might be useful for your client.  Adjunctive SE is also a wonderful option for those challenging cases that could use additional support throughout the week.

Case Consultation:

In addition, I am delighted to offer consultation to therapists who may want to better understand how SE-based interventions and ways of working may help their eating disordered and trauma clients.

For referrals or consultation, please feel free to contact me via phone or email.

Lastly, if you are a mental health professional interested in taking the SE training (which I wholeheartedly recommend!), more information can be found at:
